Have you ever sent an email to the wrong person? At best it’s a gaffe; at worse it could be your job or a lawsuit. Usually, it happens when you’re writing fast. You finish up and click the send button before you have time to think. As it’s disappearing off the screen you notice it’s headed for B. Smith instead of C. Smith.
So here’s an idea for avoiding this situation. Write your email first and put the recipient’s “To” name in last. This will give you time to think about your recipient. Any other ideas out there?
